TEXTools 1.3

TEXTools (new release, April 2003) is a text processing tool for Windows that allows you to manipulate text like a pro using the same paradigm of pipes and filters that was popularized by Unix programmers. TEXTools integrates a powerful collection of text filters that can easily be combined into pipes and used to resolve those everyday text-processing problems including: automating interactive processes, modifying HTML, extracting data from logfiles, customizing text output from other programs, performing global text replacements, performing base conversions, constructing tables, removing duplicate data, converting fixed-length data to comma-delimited and vice versa, formatting mailing lists -- all this and more by simply combining filters! Pipes can be constructed and executed interactively from TEXTools' graphical user interface or at the console prompt. They can also be utilized from batch files, scripting languages such as VBScript and from programs written in languages such as Visual Basic, Delphi, C++, etc. You can even extend TEXTools' already rich set of filters by creating your own user-defined filters from 32-bit console executables, VBScripts and other TEXTools filters! Why write code to process text when you can "pipe" it?

This software is a shareware. You will be able to download and test TEXTools during a certain period of time, then, if it does what you need, you will have to acquire the full version. The trial version available for download on www.softandco.com has a size of 719 KBytes. For additional information and support request, please contact directly TEXTools publisher.
